I greet you with great joy, gratitude and eagerness to share with you recent news in the life of the AFC. As our new President, Alan Zimmerer, transitions into his role, I write on behalf of the AFC to thank you for your prayers and support during our transition. We know that we’ve been lifted to this point through the powerful intercession of your prayers and support. Thank you!
Grace-filled Extraordinary General Assembly
Thanks be to God! Through His amazing grace and by your prayers and offerings, we successfully conducted our first General Assembly. This was an extraordinary event for many reasons. We were told by our canon lawyer, who served as moderator of our General Assembly, that he has seen an established religious order take two years to prepare for their General Assembly. We did it in six months. The order he was referring to has been around for centuries. This gives testimony to the power of Mary multiplying our efforts through the gift of consecration, God’s grace, and the work that the Holy Spirit can accomplish with a united team of instruments.
Since the AFC has never held a General Assembly, we had to conduct extensive research and develop a process for the preparations and celebration of an Assembly that would be characteristic of and unique to our Apostolate. What was accomplished was a gathering that embodied the family spirit, which is embedded in our charism and spirituality. You can see some highlights of the event, outlined below, by visiting

Giving Thanks for America and Calling Upon Our Lady of America to
As we celebrate Thanksgiving this year, we have so much to be thankful for, including all that our founding fathers have done to establish this great country. We all are certainly aware of how much we need God’s mercy and grace for our country, especially at this particular time in our history. So much is at stake, and we see the writing on the wall. Our faith will be tried and tested. We must go deeper into our Catholic faith, particularly during this Year of Faith, and arm ourselves with the Truth, so that IT will set us free. Let us be soldiers for Christ in our day and age! Check out our faith formation
resources for your family at Familyland.org.
St. Leo the Great once said something that speaks to us profoundly now, "Virtue is nothing without the trial of temptation, for there is no conflict without an enemy, no victory without
strife." So, let us call on Our Lady of America to help our country get through this current trial. After all, she came to America to speak directly to us:
"I desire through my children of America, to further the cause of faith and purity among peoples and nations. Let them come to me with confidence and simplicity, and I, their Mother, will teach them to become pure like to my Heart that their own hearts may be more pleasing to the Heart of my
Son." Our Lady of America
If you are not familiar with our Lady’s approved message to America, you can purchase our video series in the
online store at
www.Familyland.org. Pray to her at this hour of great need for America. We have hope through all that Heaven conveys to us, but we are called to do our part.
Our Mission to Help Families...
As the AFC begins this new era, we continue our efforts to clarify and
simplify this mission of family consecration. The Apostolate for Family Consecration seeks to help families live a way of life
(consecration) that is the safest, easiest and quickest path to holiness. We are
called to lead families to the Holy Family through consecration and formation. This puts into motion a transformation of families which compels them to be evangelists in the modern world – and do we need that more than ever! We’ve been graced to see the fruits of this transformation by the living witness of the many families that have been lead to the AFC’s spirituality. We see the power of consecration working in their lives.
It’s especially encouraging to see
the youth, who have grown up with this spirituality, blossom into the vibrant Catholic adults. God is raising up His army, and we’re eager to be His instruments to help increase
Blessed John Paul II, very personally, introduced the New Evangelization and encouraged the laity to participate in it. We must reclaim Christianity, which is crumbling before our eyes! The AFC has been blessed with a spirituality and a charism that is unique and attractive for families. God has given these gifts in our time, because family life is under the greatest attack. We desire to reach more and more families, so that they can become the evangelists the world needs!
Ways You Can Help Us Fulfill our Mission...
We never underestimate the power of prayer. So, first and foremost, the greatest way you can help is by praying that the AFC will fulfill its God-given mission and obtain all the graces and resources necessary to do so.
As we come to the end of this year and into next year, we are faced with a financial shortfall. While many generous souls have contributed to our urgent appeal, we still face serious consequences if we don’t reach our goal.
By your year-end giving, would you please contribute to the Apostolate for Family Consecration with a tax-deductible donation, so that we can continue the efforts for families helping other families come closer to God for all eternity? If enough of our
dedicated supporters could offer a one-time donation or even a monthly pledge at this particular time, we could meet our needs.
Please be assured of our prayers for you and your loved ones as you journey to the Eternal Kingdom of our Father in Heaven. We promise our commitment to do our part towards all that God wants us to do to help families today.
May you and yours have a most blessed Thanksgiving. “May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing through the experience of your faith that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing with
hope.” - Romans 15:13
