Mario Luigi Cardinal Ciappi
The above illustraion depicts three great papal theologians who have made valuable contributions to the Church. The first was St. Dominic founder of the Dominican order. St. Thomas Aquinas, the Angelic Doctor, was the fourth papal theologian. Mario Luigi Cardinal Ciappi, O.P. (foreground), the eighty-fourth successor to St. Dominic as papal teologian, served as the primary theological advisor for the Apostolate for Family Consecration from 1976 until his death in 1996. He was one of the greatest theologians and mariologists of our time.
In this Letter, Cardinal Ciappi emphasizes the need for reparation for sin and Mary's role in multiplying the effects of one's holiness to help bring about world peace.
In this letter, Cardinal Ciappi welcomes the "Totus Tuus" conference to spread the message of Fatima, along with the "fail-safe" method of using AFC materials.
